The favorite cake in our house is a Pineapple Upside Down Cake followed by German Chocolate Cake which is a close second. This is for my son's birthday cake. His birthday is the 15th of March, but this year his girlfriend threw a party at the Mexican resturant and there was German Chocolate Cake. So he lucks out and gets two cakes this year.So my question for you is What is your Favorite cake - Birthday or otherwise?

Doesn't your pineapple upside down cake look delicious. Sadly, I haven't eaten cake for years, since I discovered I had a wheat intolerance. I've now discovered that gluten in general doesn't do a lot for my health, and I haven't yet experimented to find a cake recipe that works with gluten free flours. I did however find a stall in Wells market on Saturday that sells a mouth-watering lemon polenta cake. Perhaps I can get them to make me a birthday cake later this year?
My Nan used to make a chocolate sponge cake that was my favorite ever, unfortuantly when she died so did the recipe. I do love a pineapple upside down cake and have just decided to make one this week!
Okay, pineapple upside down cake wins hands down against any cake out there. :o) I've eaten more cake than I should in the last month. My birthday fell right around Beckie's graduation and I also got cake at work, so I am ready for a different dessert right now.
