Lone Star Quilt

Today I started a new quilt using the Quilt Smart 58" Lone Star.

The Picture doesn't do the colors justice. So here is a close up of the colors. The cream with gold color is a Robert Kaufmann and the rest of the fabrics are Hoffman's challenge fabrics.
I fell in love with the fabrics as soon as I saw them. If they weren't so expensive I would have bought more of them. I'm trying to decide what color would look good for the background. If I could find it I think I would like a light butter yellow which would set it off. I guess when I go back to Twin Falls I'll have to take this with me and audition some fabrics. Anyone have ideas of what they think would look good as a background?

You have been busy today! Very pretty so far. Maybe you could find something at HMQS!

As soon as i saw it, I thought a buttery yellow, then i read what you wrote. I think that would work well.

Hi there. I've just become a "FOLLOWER" of your blog. I love your lone star and haven't heard of the method you are using. Can you give more info about it please?
The fabrics you are using are heavenly. I'll have to get to my LQS to see if she carries that line.

Lovely colors for your lone star. How do you like using the Quilt Smart system?
