First snow of the winter

The weather man has been promising we were going to have snow and it appears he was right. Earlier this week we were told 1 - 6 " and then they said 1 - 3". I came home about 9:30 p.m. tonight and the ground was clear and the air was cold. About 5 minutes ago when I looked outside it is snowing and looks like it will be sticking. The worst part is it is supposed to be below freezing here all week. This is the coldest weather we have had in the last 20 years here in western WA. The picture is of our front deck. Snow is pretty to look at, but not my favorite thing to have to get out in and go anywhere. Hope everyone is staying warm and getting lots of quilting done.

Snow is so rare here in the south-east of the UK that I can enjoy it. It's somehow fun to have to wrap up and find boots with a good grip and then to sweep the snow off the car and the pathway. It's not that much fun to drive in though, especially once it freezes over. I doubt that I'll enjoy it when I get older either. Keep warm - and keep sewing.
