Family Trees

My husband showed me the newspaper clipping yesterday while he was going through some paperwork. This is his paternal grandfather, grandmother and their children. I've always been interested in his family history and I am going to try and find out some of their history. My daughter recently asked about her dad's family and I couldn't tell her much. So I have joined a list and maybe I'll learn some of his history. I've always enjoyed history. My brother Tom is researching our family. He found out that our maternial grandfather was born in Oregon and as a young man, went back to the midwest by riding the rails, where he settled and where I always thought he was born. We'll see what fun things we can find out.

I started researching my family tree eight years ago, just after my mother died. I've found out some fascinating facts, although I seem to have stalled now. I wish I'd started earlier, while I still had some family alive who could give me information and answer my questions. I wish you the best of luck and hope you manage to find some answers.

People in the old photographs always look very serious. Good luck with your search. If you have a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints near you, they are happy to share information on geneology, many places they even offer classes.
